Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using M.A.P. (Meet. Act. Part.), you agree to these Terms of Service and the M.A.P. Privacy Policy. If you use M.A.P. on behalf of a participating Lodge, Grand Lodge, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that organization for the activities you perform.

2. Eligibility and Verified Membership

Member-only features are intended for individuals whose membership can be verified through a participating Masonic organization. Users must provide accurate information, must not impersonate another person or member, and must not attempt to obtain access based on false or misleading membership information.

3. Account Responsibilities

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity performed through their accounts. Users must promptly report suspected unauthorized access, account compromise, or misuse. Accounts may not be shared unless expressly authorized by M.A.P.

4. Organizational Administration

Participating organizations may maintain membership, administrative, dues, event, officer, document, and related records within M.A.P. Organizational administrators are responsible for the accuracy of records they create or maintain and for ensuring that they have appropriate authority to process information on behalf of their organization.

5. Administrative Roles and Authority

Access to administrative functionality is based on assigned roles, organizational relationships, verified membership, and application authorization controls. Administrative access does not create unlimited access to all M.A.P. information. In particular, administrative roles do not automatically authorize access to private member conversations or information outside the administrator's authorized organizational scope.

6. Acceptable Use

Users may not use M.A.P. to harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate against others; distribute spam, malware, or malicious content; interfere with service availability or security; attempt to bypass authorization controls; obtain unauthorized access to accounts, records, messages, documents, or systems; scrape or collect data in an unauthorized manner; misuse another member's personal information; or use the service for unlawful activity.

7. Security Testing and Unauthorized Access

Users may not probe, scan, test, reverse engineer, exploit, or attempt to defeat M.A.P. security controls without prior written authorization. Good-faith security concerns should be reported through the M.A.P. Contact page rather than tested against production systems without authorization.

8. Member Communications

Networking and messaging features are intended to support legitimate interaction among verified members. Users are responsible for the content they submit and must respect the privacy, preferences, and rights of other members.

9. Blocking, Reporting, and Moderation

Members may block other members and submit reports concerning inappropriate conduct. M.A.P. and participating organizations may review reports, preserve relevant records, investigate suspected misuse, and restrict access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.

10. User and Organizational Content

Users and participating organizations retain ownership of content and records they lawfully provide to M.A.P. By submitting information to the service, they authorize M.A.P. to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that information as necessary to operate the platform and provide the requested functionality.

11. Responsibility for Submitted Information

Users and organizations must have appropriate authority to submit information to M.A.P. They must not upload information, documents, photographs, or other content that they are prohibited from using or sharing.

12. Privacy

M.A.P. processes information according to the M.A.P. Privacy Policy. Member networking visibility settings do not change the underlying classification or administrative status of membership records maintained by participating organizations.

13. Third-Party Services

M.A.P. relies on third-party service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, database services, email delivery, and payment processing. Use of some functionality may require interaction with those providers. Third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and availability.

14. Subscription Plans

Certain M.A.P. functionality is provided through paid subscription plans purchased by participating organizations. Available features, limits, and functionality may vary by subscription tier. Subordinate organizations may receive access through a parent organization's subscription where supported by M.A.P.

15. Billing and Payment Processing

Stripe is used to process payments for Stripe-managed subscriptions. Payment card information is handled by Stripe and is not intended to be stored directly by M.A.P. Subscription charges, billing intervals, and applicable plan information are presented through the billing workflow before purchase.

16. Renewals, Plan Changes, and Cancellation

Subscription renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations are governed by the applicable billing configuration and the status of the subscription with the payment provider. Some plan changes may take effect immediately, while others may take effect at the end of a billing period.

17. Taxes and Fees

Participating organizations are responsible for applicable taxes, fees, assessments, or charges associated with their use of paid M.A.P. services except where M.A.P. or its payment provider is legally required to collect or remit them.

18. Suspension

M.A.P. may suspend access when reasonably necessary because of nonpayment, suspected fraud, security concerns, misuse, violations of these Terms, loss of membership eligibility, legal requirements, or organizational authorization changes.

19. Termination

Access may be terminated for material violations of these Terms, persistent nonpayment, unlawful activity, loss of eligibility, security concerns, organizational requirements, or discontinuation of the applicable service relationship.

20. Effect of Suspension or Termination

Suspension or termination may prevent access to some or all M.A.P. functionality. Records may be retained where necessary for organizational history, billing, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, backup retention, or other legitimate operational requirements.

21. Service Availability

M.A.P. may be modified, updated, suspended, or temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, security events, provider outages, emergency response, or other operational requirements. Continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

22. Beta, Pilot, and Preview Features

Some functionality may be provided as part of a pilot, beta, preview, or evaluation program. Such functionality may change, contain defects, have limited support, or be discontinued.

23. Intellectual Property

M.A.P., including its software, branding, interfaces, design, documentation, and service functionality, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of M.A.P. intellectual property to users or participating organizations.

24. Feedback

Users and participating organizations may provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback concerning M.A.P. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, M.A.P. may use such feedback to improve the service without creating an obligation to the person providing it.

25. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, M.A.P. is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. M.A.P. does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every organizational purpose.

26. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, M.A.P. and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any additional contractual liability limits agreed with a participating organization will control where applicable.

27. Organizational Responsibility

Participating organizations remain responsible for their own membership decisions, governance, disciplinary processes, dues policies, record accuracy, and legal obligations. M.A.P. provides technology to support organizational administration but does not replace the governing authority of participating organizations.

28. Compliance with Law

Users and participating organizations must use M.A.P. in compliance with applicable law and must not use the service to facilitate unlawful conduct.

29. Changes to the Service

M.A.P. may add, remove, modify, or replace functionality as the platform develops. Material changes affecting subscription functionality, privacy, or user responsibilities may be communicated through the application or other reasonable means.

30. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be revised as M.A.P. evolves or as legal, operational, or security requirements change. The updated version will identify its effective or last-updated date. Continued use after revised Terms become effective may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.

31. Contact

Questions regarding these Terms, account access, privacy, security, or service administration may be submitted through the M.A.P. Contact page.

These Terms of Service are intended to establish the M.A.P. pilot governance baseline. They should receive professional legal review before broad commercial deployment or use as a negotiated enterprise agreement.
